Why Tools for T?
A ‘T-shaped’ professional is someone who has deep skills in one area and broad knowledge in many other areas, which allows them to work across disciplines. We believe that by becoming a T-shaped professional, you will be better able to solve complex problems and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
That is why we aim to provide teachers with tools, assignments and instruments to better integrate citizenship education into their teaching activities.
Tools for T has the priority of contributing to innovation in vocational education and training, while also focusing on common values, civic engagement and participation to increase the flexibility of opportunities in vocation education training.
By combining Virtual Technology with the awareness of young people in citizenship competences and the importance of sustainability, we take an important step in innovative education. Learning is not always fun and sometimes very confronting, especially when it is about something other than your profession but about yourself, who you are and how you contribute to the world of today and tomorrow.
We find it very important that our students know what is happening in the world, especially now in times of a pandemic and a war not far from us. By working on digital opportunities, we also hope to make education accessible to students across Europe.
Inclusiveness is very important in VET education, everyone is allowed to participate and everyone has a voice. By working together on citizenship education and boosting generic skills, we can better prepare our students for the world of tomorrow. A world that is changing even faster than ever.
